BZZZ Festival celebrates its 10th anniversary and we do it with an exciting collection of sound artists from Denmark, Finland, Austria, Brazil, USA, Italy, and Sweden who will perform brand new works in the unique environment of Harplinge Windmill.

First out is Passepartout Duo, Nicoletta Favari (IT), and Christopher Salvato (US/IT), who have collaborated and toured the world since 2015. They build their own instruments from electronics, percussion, textiles, and sculptural objects. They perform the work "Circo Pobre" from 2022.

Saxophonist, improviser, and composer, Mats Gustafsson (AT/SE) needs no further introduction as he has collaborated with Sonic Youth, Merzbow, Jim O'Rourke, Peter Brötzmann, Neneh Cherry, and many more. He performs an improvised solo for saxophone, flute, and electronics.

Klara Andersson (DE/SE) creates exciting soundscapes under the name Fågelle, moving between performative sound art, noise and pop. She has performed at Harp Art Lab before and is now back with her new album "Den Svenska Vreden", which has received international acclaim.

Marcella Lucatelli (BR/DK) is one of the most innovative vocalists and composers of her generation and has gained international recognition for her original, sensual, and politically charged performance works. She will deliver brand new extraterrestrial sound art for BZZZ 2023.

Mydriasis is a multisensorial performative duo formed in 2022 by visual artist Anna Matveinen (FI) and musical instrument designer Mateo Mena (PT). Their most recent work, Latent remembrance, deepens into the emotional role of memory when exposed to sound, scent or speech patterns.

Nicklas Lundberg (SE) works with sculptural sound works and his approach is a free exploration using visual sound objects. His electroacoustic flowing improvisation of junk art without beginning or end will fascinate and surprise the audience.

During the breaks, the artist Mikael Ericsson (SE) will try to operate the Kvarnofonen which has been installed on the third floor of the windmill since 2012. This spectacular sound machine is a self-playing church organ powered by piano rolls.

Welcome!

HARP ART LAB
